Rolando T. Scott and Kristin R. Cook were married Oct. 11 at First Christian Church in Roanoke by Rev. Jim Rivers.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Mary Cook of Rocky Mount and the granddaughter of Herman and Daphne Woody of Rocky Mount and the late Christine Cook of Rocky Mount.

The groom is the son of Corean Scott of Indiana and the late Jesse Ward.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Matron of Honor was Stacey Hairston, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sabrey Dent, Katie Shively, Sonya McPherson and Aimey Day. The flower girl was Nyonnika Carter.

Best Man was Michael Gordon. Groomsmen were Gustin Smith, Richard A. Cook, Chad Bates and Kelvin Norfleet. Ring Bearer was Kobie Robertson, cousin of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of Franklin County High School. The groom is a graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne, Ind., and is employed by Pepsi.

The couple resides in Rocky Mount.

Crystal Renee Chitwood and Gary Lee Carroll Jr. were married Sept. 20 by Rev. James Holland in Rocky Mount.

The bride is the daughter of Jewel and Judy Chitwood of Rocky Mount. The groom is the son of Gary Lee Ross Sr. of Rocky Mount and Kimberly Tammy Carroll of Brooklyn, N.Y.

The bride was escorted by her father and mother. Jennifer Preston was Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Kristy Holland, Aleana Manness, Courtney Webb, cousin of the bride, and Brittany Janney, niece of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Kylee Chitwood, daughter of the bride. Flower girls were Alexis Smith, daughter of the bride, and Brooklyn Carroll, daughter of the groom.

McKinsey Camp was the Best Man. Groomsmen were Timothy Chitwood, brother of the bride, Anthony Benguche, Ty-shun Benguche and D.J. Holland, cousins of the groom. The ring bearer was McKwon Camp.

The bride is a graduate of Franklin County High School.

The couple resides in Rocky Mount.

Jessica Lynn Overstreet and Daniel Ray Shortt were married Oct. 11 at New Life Baptist Tabernacle in Ferrum by Rev. Jackie Spence.

The bride is the daughter of Gary and Teresa Guilliams of Ferrum. She is the granddaughter of Lena Anderson and the late Fred Anderson of Sontag, and Wayne and Dean Guilliams of Ferrum.

The groom is the son of Danny Shortt of Dublin and Lisa Covey of Christiansburg. He is the grandson of Stella Collins and the late Buddy Covey of Christiansburg, and Ray and Mary Shortt of North Carolina.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Pamela Anderson-Chitwood, cousin of the bride, was the Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Rutter, Betty Hall and Brittany Shortt. The flower girls were Jillena Guilliams, sister of the bride, and Olivia Chitwood, cousin of the bride.

Kevin Shortt, brother of the groom, was the Best Man. Groomsmen were Danny Shortt, Steven Chitwood and Brandon Anderson. The ring bearer was Lane Shortt, son of the groom.

The bride is a graduate of Franklin County High School and is employed by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.

The groom attended East Forsyth High School in Kernersville, N.C. He is employed by Kelly Sales and Leasing.

The couple resides in Ferrum.
